MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT TRAINS ITS STAFF

The Ondo State Ministry of Environment trained its Drivers in a bid to enhance productivity while discharging their duties. The Training was held at the office of the Permanent Secretary of the ministry in Akure, the State Capital.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Chief Bunmi Alade, while declared a one-day in-house training opened with the theme: "Driving Standard and Conduct" said, it is imperative to boost the capacity of the Drivers, to acquaint themselves with the latest technology put in place by the Federal Government for road users.

Chief Bunmi Alade opined that, Government Drivers needed to enjoy from wealth of experience from Federal Road Safety Corp like others do hence the need for competent hand. He enjoined the participants to make good use of the opportunity to pay adequate attention during the training.

In the same vein, the Director, Finance and Administration of the Ministry, Mrs. Toyin Adeseko , advised the participants to make good use of the knowledge acquired from the training while carrying out their duties.

The Resource Person, Superintendent Route Commander of Federal Road Safety Corp, Mrs. Folasade Umukoro, put the participants through all the nitty gritty of rules and regulations guiding the road users.

She warned them not to become a multitasking Driver whenever their driving especially on the highways, saying concentration matters most when handling the steering.

The Deputy Director, Finance and Administration of the Ministry, Mrs. Omolara Faniyi, thanked the Resource Person for imparting knowledge to the participants and exposed the consequences that follows each rules and regulations laid down for the road users.
