Our Vision
The vision of the Ministry is to have an environment with clean and safe air, land and water that sustains healthy communities, ecosystem functions and development that meet the needs of present and future generations.
The Ondo State Ministry of Environment was created in year 2001 following the Federal Ministry of Environment policy mandating every State to establish a Ministry that will be saddled with the responsibilities of coordinating, managing, regulating and monitoring all activities in relation to environment.
Consequently, the then State Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) which was created in year 1993 and had been performing similar functions as stipulated by the Federal Government metamorphosized to Ondo State Ministry of Environment and additional staff were recruited to accommodate the envisaged larger scope of functions.
